Which Plants Work Best in Small Spaces

If you have a small space to work with there can be challenges as to which plant will be suitable for the space. You may not want to choose plants that will become overgrown that consumes the area where it becomes cluttered, and you barely have room left to navigate in your home. These are some suggestions that can work in small spaces.

 Succulents and cacti

Create mini gardens by placing these plants in transparent or glass containers embedded with rocks, soil, or sand. They will not grow very tall and the glass container acts as shield for the spiny leaves and the prevention of being poked. It will create the illusion of a mini scene from the desert. Arrange them on tables, bookshelves, Niches, or beside windowsills with filtered light.

Plant Combination

Adding combinations of plants eliminates the presence of too many potted plants in the space. Adding a green plant like fern blended with another small flowering plant will add contrast to the green fern and bring colour to the container and the space.

Hanging Baskets

What better way to conserve on your space by using a hanging basket. This is also a good method if you have plants that are not pet friendly in this way, they are not a danger to small kids and your pets.
