As a rule, most plants require care to stay alive in any environment but there are those which require low maintenance and will hardly require much work. If you have busy schedule and don’t have much time to take care of plants, I suggest the following may work for you.

Aloe Vera

A plant that is often seen in the Tropics but will do very well as an outdoor plant. It can grow over two feet and more which will depend on the climate and the environment Minimal water is required with some sunshine, and you may not need to fertilize this plant.

 Spider Plant

This gets its name because it resembles the spider and can be considered a very resilient and easy to take care of. They are great for hanging baskets or pots that will allow the leaves to be displayed because the leaves are long and flows over the pot like a waterfall displaying their green and white colours. They will do well in environments that are similar to the tropics.

 Pothos

There are so many varieties of this plant to choose from and the colours and amazing to have in any garden or grown in a basket, fence or anywhere you choose. You can find them from variegated leaves to solid colours of green and will make a great addition to any garden. You may also notice the colours on the leaves will vary this will depend on the amount of sunshine that is being filtered to the plant. In General, this plant is one of the easiest to care of and you just might find yourself buying many varieties of this plant which you will enjoy.

Hydrangea

These plants are grown as shrubs but in many places, they are tall trees. They are found in a variety of colours like purple, white, red and many others so you may want to be aware of the height of these plants and arrange your garden accordingly. When blooming it’s just wonderful to enjoy these clusters of flowers. Most Hydrangea require adequate sunlight and a good fertilizer. These are just the basic to begin with for your plant.

 Ornamental grass

This is a grass and considered as a perennial with so many choices from colours of pink to sapphire and burgundy. So many varieties to choose and greatly admired for their texture and slim shapes. They will do well in winter and are considered drought resistant and resilient with very little watering and have been known to tolerate full sun or a part shade. They are the perfect choice in landscaping especially for front yard and used many times as borders.

Although these plants are suggested as for outdoors. This will be reflective of the zone you are currently residing in. A few also will make very good indoor houseplants. With the right care and the minimal requirements for survival they can do well.
