LED lights can be used as an option where there is not enough sunlight for your indoor garden space. Choosing the right LED is important for plant growth and should contain the colours blue and red wavelength.
While adding plants to your home for beauty and charm we must consider that their placement in the space may not always be beneficial to the plant life therefore it is essential to consider adequate lighting for their growth. Moving them into the sunlight can be an option but it is not aways convenient and it is time consuming to be constantly doing this.
Lighting is important indoors
Although the regular light bulb used in the home does provide some light it is not recommended to be used for plant growth and will cause damage to the plant because of the intensity of the heat emitting from these bulbs.
Fluorescent and LED Lights
The best solution would be either the fluorescent light which does not heat quickly and provides light which is not harmful to the plant. Or LED lights which is much less cost effective and provides the plant with the blue and red colours required for their growth.
Find bulbs that offer light that is close to what is received from the sun during the daytime. If you stop to think about any outdoor garden the sunlight stays in in the garden for a number of hours each day and in the evening the sun sets and leaves.
If we copy this pattern given to us by allowing the plant to retain several hours of light and allowing it to rest absorbing the nutrients given. They should adjust and do very well.
